When Russia moves into the Sulwałki Gap on Christmas Day, the defensive editorial staff at a small-time DC Newspaper (The Washington Tribune) and their recently divorced leader Paul, buck at the hiring of Katherine Vance, a military analyst from the much bigger Washington Post. As the day grinds into night, Katherine and Paul's tension becomes singed with bleary-eyed holiday romance.

A small sports-radio station in the West End of Toronto struggles with the lessening demand for their medium. We follow a trio of hockey-writers tangled in a love-triangle, a baseball play-by-play duo grappling with the end of their time on-air together, and the frazzled station manager who tries every trick in the books to make a buck and keep their station afloat.

The Moonmen Cometh (horror, concept, co-written by Kielan Ellis & Josh Edwards)
When six-friends are forced to confront the onrushing of change in their lives, they gather for one last friendsgiving dinner – which is interrupted by the crashing of a meteorite in their backyard. As they go outside to investigate, they discover an alien race, able to transform into anything they look at. These six friends must survive the night, or else be taken by the Moonmen forever...

Over the holidays, a James Joyce scholar and a C.S. Lewis scholar travel to Dublin to visit their dying literature professor – but find more than just an old friend when they arrive in Ireland.

Okay, Blue Jays (romantic-comedy, concept, co-written by Justin Saks)
Set during the 2025 World Series between the Jays and Dodgers – two fans, unaware of their childhood connection, try to scalp the same ticket off the same scalper before game one. As the series goes on, they accidentally find themselves in each other's company during each and every game, in increasingly unlikely ways.

The Adventures of the Starship Ocieus

We follow the bridge-crew of the Starship Ocieus in a perilous send-up of Star Trek: The Next Generation two-parters – which begins when the Ocieus' captain is forced to take the strongest drug in the galaxy as a part of a diplomatic mission.

A re-telling of Arthur Conan Doyle's masterpiece, set in Toronto and Newfoundland, Canada during the 1910s.

A re-telling of Sense and Sensibility, set in the outskirts of York during the interwar period.

TELEVISION SERIES

Staffroom (10-episode sit-com, pilot complete, written by Kielan Ellis)
When Troublemaker Shane (sixth grade) and depressive teacher Jonathan (teaching sixth) both go through troubles at home, their behaviour lands them in hot water with their superiors, and are forced to make an unlikely alliance to help each other navigate the backroom politics that plague both the staff and students of Hillcrest Elementary School.

When Grace, a new girl from Naples, moves to the small town of Galico Marina, local scavenger Domenico realizes she may not be the rich city-girl she appears to be from the outside – and develops a crush that pulls them together, only to finally tear them apart.
